Crit B Deep Dives
Choose how to analyse the creator's construction of an IDEA. The 3-Step Technique focuses on a specific authorial choice, PLANE examines broader choices across a whole work, and Comparative PLANE considers how two works construct the same IDEA.
Try a 3-Step deconstruction
Paste your own authorial choice, deconstruction and IDEA. The same examiner-informed coach used in the assessment labs will diagnose your reasoning and suggest one specific revision.
3-Step Technique Deep Dive

Developing a comparative PLANE
Select a specific IDEA and investigate the broader choices used by both writers. For each text, identify meaningful moments, deconstruct what those choices suggest, then integrate the similarities and differences in your analytical explanation.
The existing Paper 2 Lab provides the comparative PLANE editor, comparative TEEAL practice and the AI checker.
