How to annotate:
Click any semi-transparent red numbered hotspot.
The annotation window will show Example: followed by the exact word, image, symbol or feature that hotspot refers to, so students can clearly see what is being analysed.
Write your own annotation first, then reveal the teacher model and compare
AC → Deconstruction → IDEA.
Read the comic once without annotating. Then work through the numbered hotspots. The comic is split into two larger sections so the evidence and annotation targets remain clear.
Guiding Question:
How does Paley use visual and verbal features to satirise consumerism and environmental marketing?
Teacher models are revealed only after you open a numbered hotspot. Use them to compare the precision of your authorial choice, deconstruction and IDEA.
